Bob King has been performing, composing and teaching songwriting in schools in Manitoba and Saskatchewan for thirty years now. He has recorded seven children's albums and three adult albums. In 2005 Bob's CD 'Rock And Roll Teachers' won the award for outstanding children's album at the Western Canadian Music awards in Vancouver. It features songs about the school experience that are school positive and with a wide variety of musical styles.

Bob began his career in the 1970's with the band 'Kornstock' which also featured entertainers Fred Penner and Al Simmons, both of whom went on to careers in the field of family entertainment. Two of Bob's songs have sold a million copies apiece. These are'Sandwiches Are Beautiful' recorded by various artists and 'Brother For Sale' recorded by Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. His song 'Sitting On The Farm' was made into a picture book distributed worldwide by Kids Can Press and translated into several languages. His children's album, 'I Belong', contains songs about shared values and building character and comes with a 34 page teacher's guide. It is used and distributed by THRIVE Canada (formerly Lion's Quest).

His latest album is called 'How The West Was Fun' and he describes it as a 'crossover' album. “Kids like it, but adults like it just as much', he says. It is an album about various towns and cities on the Canadian prairies . Bob has had many songs placed on Casablanca compilation CDs and Casablanca has recently released an album of some of his best and funniest material called 'Wierd and Wacky Songs for Kids'.

Currently, Bob performs in schools across Canada and also teaches music and songwriting at schools with the Regina schoolboard.

Bob performs both as a solo and with his family band across Western Canada and has appeared at children's festivals in Regina, Winnipeg, Saskatoon and Alberta. He has performed with the Winnipeg Symphony, the Edmonton Symphony and the London Symphony. He has appeared at many fairs and folk festivals over the years. He has also written articles for newspapers and he is a certified elementary schoolteacher.
