Join Sharon, Lois & Bram for a rare live performance by the Trio at the Toronto Jewish Film Festival and the presentation of the film "25 Years of Skinnamarink", a celebration of the Trio’s achievements in children’s music over the past 25 years of their career. Sharon, Lois & Bram will also be available to take questions and autograph CDs.
"25 Years of Skinnamarink" will be shown Sunday, May 4th at 11:00 am at the Bloor Cinema, 506 Bloor Street West, Toronto, (just east of Bathurst).
The Toronto Jewish Film Festival is one of the largest Jewish film festivals in the world attracting over 30,000 people. This year they will screen some 90 films from May 3-11, 2008.

Jack Grunsky Wins Best Children’s Juno
Casablanca Kids congratulates Jack Grunsky on winning the 2007 JUNO AWARD for Children’s Album of the Year for his latest release MY BEAUTIFUL WORLD.
MY BEAUTIFUL WORLD showcases Jack’s unique multi-cultural approach to music incorporating authentic instruments, rhythms, melodies and arrangements from around the world. With this album Jack takes children on a journey through a day in their own lives. With energetic, upbeat songs, clever lyrics and his trademark rich, cultural sounds, he helps children to see themselves as part of a beautiful world.
Jack Grunsky’s name has become synonymous with excellence in children’s music. This is his fourth JUNO award, including garnering the award as Producer of Fred Penner’s Best Children’s Album SING WITH FRED. Prior to that, Jack won the JUNO for his albums SING AND DANCE and WAVES OF WONDER. He has also won several US Parent’s Choice Gold, iParenting and National Association of Parenting Publication Awards (NAPPA).
The JUNO awards are presented by The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and are considered the highest honour in Canadian recording. This is Jack’s eighth nomination.
Fred Penner Paintings To Be Sold on ebay to Support Kidney Research
Fred Penner has created a wonderful painting in support of kidney research in Canada.
Fred Penner's painting will soon be sold on Ebay along with paintings by about 100 other Canadian celebrities.
These original pieces of art will be on Ebay November 2, 2006 and bidding will end November 12, 2006 with all
proceeds from the sale of these original artworks going to fund kidney research. You can check out the full

Sharon, Lois & Bram’s SMORGASBORD has won an iParenting Media Award for
Outstanding Audio Product. Reviewed by a diverse panel of parents, experts,
licensed childcare centers and schools, the iParenting Media Awards provides a credible
and objective method of determining the best products in the marketplace and then
honors them with the most prestigious consumer award. Some of the reviewers’
comments included:
- The music on this CD is fun to listen to and it encourages active participation in both singing and movement. I like the short background that is included about each track and the song’s origins.
- The songs were catchy and the music was very upbeat and positive. I liked the coloring sheet that was included with the disk. My daughter really enjoyed the CD.
- The positive characteristics of the product is the artist make it fun and enjoyable to listen to and incorporate in a classroom. I like the idea of the coloring page.
